Arbutin Alpha
Advanced skin lightener used to reduce the appearance of dark spots and promote a more even and brighter skin tone. It has been shown to work on all skin types. It works by inhibiting tyrosinase’s activity, an enzyme involved in the production of melanin. A study conducted by pharmaceutical company Pentapharm found that a 1% Alpha Arbutin concentration have a “skin lightening effect” that is faster and more pronounced than 1% of existing single whitening ingredients. It also reduced the degree of skin tanning after UV exposure.
Arbutin

Kojic Acid

Niacinamide

Retinol
Vit A derivative. Promotes cell turnover. Stimulates collagen and elastin production for increased suppleness. Minimises appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and darkspots.
Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate
Vit C derivative. Helps to treat dark spots and promote translucent complexion by inhibiting melanin production. A free radical-fighting antioxidant with skin repair abilities. Helps prevent acne with its anti-bacterial properties.
Lactic Acid
An alpha hydroxy acid derived from milk. Helps in exfoliation and increasing cell turnover rates to reveal softer, smoother and younger-looking skin. It also promotes the penetration of other ingredients.
Glycolic Acid
An alpha hydroxy acid derived from sugar cane. Helps in exfoliation and increasing cell turnover rates to reveal softer, smoother and younger-looking skin. It also promotes the penetration of other ingredients.
Salicylic Acid
A beta hydroxy acid that has the ability to exfoliate deep inside the pore as well as on the surface of skin. This makes it effective for reducing breakouts. It can also help improve skin thickness, barrier function, and collagen production.
